Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Cape Town team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural design, analysis, and project management, with a focus on both residential and commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural systems using relevant software.
• Prepare and present project proposals to clients.
• Liaise with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve shop drawings and construction documents.
• Conduct regular site visits and engineering assessments.
• Implement project management best practices.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Work within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver integrated solutions.
• Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) certification is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering
