Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pond Tender who will be responsible for the upkeep of ponds in both residential and commercial environments. Your role will involve maintaining water quality, controlling aquatic life, and performing regular maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular water testing and add chemicals as needed.
• Clean filtration systems and maintain pumps.
• Monitor and manage algae growth and other flora in the ponds.
• Remove debris and maintain the cleanliness of the ponds.
• Feed and care for fish and other aquatic creatures.
• Repair and maintain the pond's structure and surrounding features.
• Communicate any issues or concerns to the Maintenance Manager.
• Work collaboratively with the landscaping team to ensure quality service.

Requirements

Education

• Certificate or Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture or related field

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pond maintenance or related fields.

Technical Skills

• Pond Ecology
• Pond Maintenance Equipment

• Communication Skills

Certifications

• First Aid and CPR certification
• Valid Driver's License

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with multi-species ponds: Familiarity with maintaining ecosystems with various aquatic species.
• Experience with koi ponds: Specialization in caring for koi fish and their environments.
