Job Description

As a Whale Trainer, you will be responsible for training and maintaining the health of our whales, while engaging with the public to educate them about marine life. You will work closely with a team of marine specialists to ensure the well-being of the animals.

Responsibilities

  • Provide enrichment activities that promote mental and physical stimulation for the whales.
  • Conduct daily training sessions and educational presentations for park guests.
  • Collaborate with the animal care team to ensure the best practices in animal husbandry.
  • Perform routine health checks and work with veterinary staff to address any medical concerns.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of special events at the marine park.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology, Zoology or related field
  • Certification in animal training and care is beneficial
Experience
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with marine mammals, especially whales.
