Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer in Port Elizabeth to join our team. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems. You will work on various engineering projects, ensuring that our solutions meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Evaluate design concepts through simulations and prototypes.
• Support manufacturing by resolving design-related issues.
• Facilitate training and mentoring for junior engineers.
• Implement best practices in mechanical engineering processes.
• Review and approve designs from external engineering firms.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Project management software

Soft Skills

• Team leadership
• Time management

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with ISO standards: Understanding of ISO standards related to mechanical engineering.
• Knowledge of sustainable engineering practices: Experience in developing eco-friendly engineering solutions.
