Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Architect to join our Stellenbosch team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both conceptual and technical design, with an eye for detail and a commitment to sustainability. You will be involved in all phases of project development, from initial design through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and present architectural designs to clients.
• Conduct feasibility studies and site evaluations.
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications.
• Oversee the construction process to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to create cohesive designs.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
• Manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
• Engage with clients throughout the design process to ensure satisfaction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Professional experience with REI or similar builds is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in varied sectors of architecture

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• 3D Rendering
• Building Codes Knowledge

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Registration with SACAP
• Certified Green Building Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in residential and commercial architecture: Hands-on experience working on diverse architectural projects, focusing on both residential and commercial sectors.
• Familiarity with sustainable building practices: Knowledgeable about eco-friendly materials and the principles of sustainable design.
