We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design principles, demonstrating knowledge in CAD software and relevant manufacturing processes. You will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and testing mechanical systems, contributing to innovative projects within our engineering department.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems using CAD software.
• Collaborate with other engineers to create comprehensive project plans.
• Conduct prototype testing and analysis to ensure design integrity.
• Create technical documentation and specifications for projects.
• Identify and resolve design-related issues during the testing phase.
• Participate in design reviews and present proposals to the engineering team.
• Manage multiple projects and timelines effectively.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Technical Skills

• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Thermal Analysis

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
