Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our talented team in Umlazi. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of structures while ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality projects that meet client specifications and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative design concepts for structural solutions.
• Analyze load and strain using engineering software.
• Prepare and submit project reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure effective communication within project teams.
• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and execution.
• Participate in public meetings to present projects.
• Facilitate training sessions for team members on design tools.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Perform structural calculations for compliance with standards.
• Contribute to our R&D efforts for innovative engineering solutions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field
• Master's is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of engineering project experience

• Certified Construction Manager (CCM)

Languages
