Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Tax Specialist to join our Johannesburg office. You will play a critical role in ensuring clients are compliant with tax laws, assisting in tax planning, and mitigating tax risks. Your expertise will guide clients through complex tax matters and enhance their operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare corporate and individual tax returns accurately and timely.
• Conduct tax research to support client inquiries and compliance requirements.
• Provide clients with insights and recommendations on tax strategies.
• Assist with tax planning for clients to minimize liabilities.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and national tax regulations.
• Collaborate with external auditors on tax-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to client queries and provide expert advice on tax matters.
• Stay updated with changes in tax legislation and communicate these changes to clients.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Honours degree in Taxation is preferable

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in taxation or tax advisory roles
