Job Description

We are in search of a passionate Public Health Officer to spearhead community health initiatives in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a vital role in developing and implementing programs aimed at improving public health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead community health assessments to determine health priorities.
• Design and execute public health campaigns and initiatives.
• Work with local government and health departments to implement health policies.
• Provide training and support to community health workers.
• Create informational materials for community education.
• Evaluate community health data and suggest improvements.
• Engage with stakeholders to support public health initiatives.
• Facilitate community meetings to address health issues.
• Promote healthy lifestyle choices among residents.
• Ensure that health programs are culturally sensitive and inclusive.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Nursing, or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in public health or community health roles
