Job Description

As a Home Health Aide in Port Elizabeth, you will assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation. Your role is essential in improving the quality of life for those you care for, ensuring they receive the support they need while encouraging their independence.

Responsibilities

• Support clients in maintaining personal hygiene and grooming.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with eating when necessary.
• Provide emotional support and companionship.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a pleasant home environment.
• Manage medication schedules and assist with health-related tasks.
• Document care activities and report changes to supervisors.
• Encourage clients to engage in recreational activities.
• Assist with transportation to appointments or errands.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Relevant certification preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in a caregiving role

Technical Skills

• Home Care Support
• Medication Administration

Soft Skills

Certifications

• CPR and First Aid certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
