Job Description

We're on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. As a key contributor, you will play a vital role in designing and implementing mechanical systems. We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and practical experience in project management.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed engineering specifications and reports.
• Work collaboratively with procurement for material selection.
• Conduct engineering evaluations and risk assessments.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables.
• Engage in continuous professional development in engineering methods.
• Assess mechanical systems post-installation for performance.
• Foster relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Participate in project planning and budgeting activities.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the mechanical engineering field

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Time Management

Certifications

• Chartered Mechanical Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles: Knowledge of streamlining operations and reducing waste.
