Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our Pretoria office. This role involves providing expert legal guidance to our clients across various industries. As a part of our team, you will play a crucial role in managing legal risks and ensuring compliance with local and international laws.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file legal documents in various courts.
• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate governance matters.
• Analyze legal implications of internal business strategies.
• Work closely with external legal counsel as needed.
• Monitor and report on changes in legislation affecting the business.
• Provide strategic advice on regulatory issues.
• Assist in dispute resolution through mediation or litigation.
• Support the implementation of compliance programs.
• Engage in community outreach and legal education initiatives.
• Maintain organized records of legal documents and correspondence.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB)
• Master's degree or additional qualifications are preferable

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in legal advisory roles.
