Insurance Underwriter

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Underwriter to evaluate risks and determine insurance eligibility for clients. This position requires a combination of technical skill, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills to successfully interact with clients and colleagues. You will be integral in shaping our client's insurance experience with tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk analysis and financial evaluations for policies.
• Identify and recommend improvements to underwriting processes.
• Support the training and mentorship of junior underwriters.
• Assist in the development of new insurance products.
• Conduct periodic audits of files to ensure compliance.
• Assist claims department with risk assessments as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Actuarial Science or Insurance is preferred
• Professional certifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience preferred

Certifications

• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)
• Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA)
