We are seeking a dedicated Medical Research Scientist in Cape Town to engage in innovative research initiatives. Your responsibilities will include formulating research hypotheses, conducting experiments, and documenting results. Collaboration with healthcare teams to publish findings is key to this role. Responsibilities

  • Implement innovative techniques in research methodologies.
  • Work alongside senior researchers to develop project proposals.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and ethical standards in research.
  • Train and mentor junior researchers and interns.
  • Review and critique literature relevant to ongoing projects.
  • Contribute to grant applications and external research collaborations.
  • Facilitate meetings to discuss project goals and outcomes.
  • Develop educational materials based on research findings.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or a medical-related field
  • PhD in a relevant research area is highly desirable
