Actuary

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Actuary to join our Durban team. The successful candidate will analyze data and assess risks to assist in designing and implementing insurance policies. This role requires analytical thinking and the ability to present complex information in a clear manner.

Responsibilities

• Analyze risk data and develop models to assess financial risk.
• Prepare reports for stakeholders that summarize risk assessments and recommendations.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance our insurance products.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing insurance policies.
• Utilize statistical methodologies to interpret complex data sets.
• Assist in the pricing of insurance products based on risk analysis.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field
• Fellowship in the Actuarial Society of South Africa (ASSA) is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in actuarial analysis or a related role
