Job Description

The Sleeping Car Conductor plays a vital role in ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers during their journey. This includes managing the boarding process, providing customer service, and coordinating with other train crew members to facilitate a smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the boarding process and manage luggage handling.
• Support passengers through their journey, answering questions and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with the onboard service staff to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform safety checks and assist in emergency drills.
• Conduct regular inspections of emergency equipment and first aid supplies.

Requirements

Education

• First Aid certification
• Additional customer service certifications are preferred.

Experience

• Preference for candidates with experience in the railway industry.

Technical Skills

• Radio communication systems
• Emergency response knowledge

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
