Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Veterinarian who is passionate about animal care to join our thriving practice in Durban. You'll be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing preventative care to ensure our patients lead healthy lives.

Responsibilities

• Examine pets and livestock to diagnose health issues.
• Administer treatments and perform surgeries as required.
• Develop treatment plans suitable for a range of animals.
• Consult with pet owners about care and treatment options.
• Keep detailed records of treatments and patient histories.
• Engage in community outreach to promote animal health awareness.
• Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine.
• Provide emergency care as necessary.
• Mentor veterinary interns and support staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science (BVSc) or equivalent
• Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in veterinary practice
