Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to join our team in Durban. You will be tasked with assessing existing production processes to optimise overall performance and product output while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead chemical process optimization projects.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime.
• Advance waste minimization techniques.
• Ensure environmental compliance in all engineering practices.
• Provide technical support to operations teams.
• Implement quality control measures and validate outcomes.
• Communicate project updates to stakeholders.
• Utilise computer-aided design (CAD) software for engineering tasks.
• Integrate automated processes for manufacturing.
• Train staff on safe handling and processing of chemicals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in chemical engineering

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng)
