Job Description

We are on the lookout for an IT Support Specialist to join our vibrant team in Johannesburg. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of IT services. You'll work closely with our clients, understanding their IT needs and solving their technical issues efficiently. Ideal candidates should be passionate about technology, possess strong problem-solving skills, and be adept at communicating with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to user inquiries regarding computer systems and software.
  • Assist in setting up IT equipment for new employees.
  • Ensure data backups are performed regularly and recover data when necessary.
  • Provide support for mobile devices and remote access solutions.
  • Collaborate with external vendors for IT hardware and software support.
  • Document and report security incidents to the IT Manager.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Additional certifications in relevant IT fields are an advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in IT support or customer service
