UI Designer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced UI Designer to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and have a keen eye for aesthetics. You will collaborate with UX researchers and developers to create visually stunning and intuitive interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Execute design processes and communicate designs effectively to stakeholders.
• Evaluate existing designs and suggest iterations for improvement.
• Focus on creating designs that enhance user experiences across applications.
• Contribute to the development of the company’s design strategy.
• Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders during the design process.
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
• Coordinate with marketing to ensure design aligns with promotional initiatives.
• Create and present compelling design proposals to clients and internal teams.
• Document design processes and maintain archives of design files.
• Participate in workshops and training to enhance design skills.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Design or related field

Experience

• 3-5 years in UI Design or related field

Technical Skills

• Experience with prototyping tools like InVision or Axure
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS design principles

Soft Skills

• Creative thinking
• Effective communication

Certifications

• Google UX Design Professional Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Angular or React for design implementation: Experience in collaborating with developers using popular frameworks.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UI design projects: A portfolio showcasing previous work that reflects design skills.
