Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our team in Cape Town. In this role, you will be responsible for dispensing medications, advising patients on proper medication use, and collaborating with healthcare providers to enhance patient care.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret physician orders for medication therapy.
• Counsel patients on medication side effects and interactions.
• Conduct medication therapy management and follow-up consultations.
• Ensure proper labelling and storage of medications.
• Educate patients about health and wellness practices.
• Assist in the pharmacy's marketing and promotional activities.
• Stay updated on pharmaceutical advancements and best practices.

Requirements

Education

• PharmD or equivalent

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Medication Therapy Management
• Clinical Pharmacy

Soft Skills

• Customer Service
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Pharmacy Board Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Specialization in Clinical Pharmacy: Experience in clinical pharmacy settings preferred.
• Management experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy management role is a bonus.
