Job Description

As a Ticket Taker, you will be the first point of contact for event attendees, ensuring that tickets are processed efficiently. Your role is vital for maintaining the security and organization of the entrance process. Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival.
  • Scan, validate, and collect tickets or passes.
  • Guide guests towards designated seating or event areas.
  • Assist in crowd management and maintain orderliness.
  • Monitor entry and exit points.
  • Answer customer queries and provide accurate information regarding the venue or event.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any ticketing or entry-related issues.
  • Complete required administrative tasks, such as reconciling ticket stubs or generating reports.

Requirements

Education
  • Customer service training or experience
Experience
  • Prior experience in a similar ticketing or event management environment is advantageous.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Ticketmaster, Eventbrite)
Soft Skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
Languages
  • English: Fluent

Advantageous

  • Experience in using POS systems: Familiarity with point of sale systems for handling transactions.
  • Knowledge of different event venues and seating arrangements: Understanding of local venues helps in providing better assistance.
