Job Description

We are seeking a proactive Hotel Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction at our Cape Town property. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing hotel functions, from front desk operations to housekeeping and food service, ensuring all aspects of the hotel run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Direct hotel operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Manage budgets and control costs while enhancing revenue.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and development of hotel staff.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with guests to encourage repeat visits.
  • Evaluate guest feedback and implement necessary improvements.
  • Organize and oversee hotel events and functions.
  • Drive up-sell strategies to maximize room revenue.
  • Collaborate with the head chef to ensure quality food and service.
  • Monitor compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare regular reports for management on performance metrics.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred
Experience
  • Minimum of 6 years in hotel management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
