Job Description

We are in search of an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead our logistics operations in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be adept at overseeing supply chain processes, ensuring seamless operations, and driving cost efficiencies. You will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with suppliers and optimizing inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Direct all supply chain operations, including procurement, warehousing, and distribution.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales to forecast product needs.
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Implement inventory control systems to optimize stock levels.
• Lead cross-departmental projects aimed at improving supply chain efficiency.
• Track performance indicators to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
• Advise on new product launches and supply chain impacts.
• Evaluate and implement logistics technology solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field
• Master's degree in Supply Chain Management is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics/supply chain operations

• Supply Chain Optimization

Certifications

• Certified Logistics Professional (CLP)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with EDI and supply chain software: Experience in using EDI systems and software for supply chain management.
