Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the logistics operations, including inventory management, transportation, and distribution processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department.
• Develop KPIs for logistics performance and monitor achievements.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance for all shipping activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance supply chain efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve any delivery discrepancies.
• Provide support in warehousing and inventory management.
• Utilize logistics software for tracking and reporting.
• Maintain relationships with external logistics partners.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a logistics role

Technical Skills

• Logistics Management Software
• Transport Management Systems (TMS)

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in E-commerce Logistics: Understanding of the logistics challenges specific to e-commerce industries.
