Job Description

We are on the lookout for a motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of animals, performing surgeries, and offering guidance to pet owners on their animals' health. You will work closely with a dedicated team of veterinary professionals in a supportive environment that values high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals for signs of illness or injury.
  • Administer vaccinations and medications as needed.
  • Develop treatment plans and discuss options with pet owners.
  • Perform laboratory tests and interpret results.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols within the veterinary practice.
  • Participate in continuing education and training opportunities.
  • Assist in mentoring junior veterinary staff and interns.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
  • Specialization in animal surgery is preferred.
Experience
  • Experience in emergency and critical care is advantageous.
