Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing logistics operations to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with transport providers and suppliers.
• Analyze logistics processes and report on areas for improvement.
• Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors.
• Train and supervise logistics staff as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends to enhance logistics strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Postgraduate qualifications preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management

Technical Skills

• SAP ERP
• Data Analysis Tools

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Proficiency in a second language: Ability to speak an additional language such as Afrikaans or Xhosa.
• Experience in Vendor Management: Background in managing relationships with suppliers and service providers.
