Job Description

The Wood Turning Lathe Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the wood turning lathe machine in order to produce high-quality wood products. You will play a key role in producing unique and custom-made wood pieces for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate wood turning lathe machines.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Select high-quality raw materials for production.
• Monitor the production process and perform necessary adjustments.
• Spot-check finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss production goals and improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 10-12 or equivalent
• Formal training in woodturning is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years experience in wood turning lathe operation
