We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our Port Elizabeth team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing innovative mechanical systems and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Strong problem-solving skills and a deep understanding of engineering principles are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design projects from inception to completion.
• Perform stress analysis and simulations for mechanical components.
• Coordinate with suppliers for materials and parts procurement.
• Review and approve engineering drawings and designs.
• Facilitate brainstorming sessions to foster innovative solutions.
• Assist in project risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Provide technical support to production teams as needed.
• Deliver presentations on project progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold standards.
• Document lessons learned for future projects.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the mechanical engineering field

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Languages

• English: Fluent
