Job Description

As a Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be instrumental in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of Dinkeys, vital in our mining operations. Your expertise will ensure these machines operate safely and efficiently, adhering to industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections on Dinkeys to preempt mechanical failures.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues and implement solutions.
• Document each repair and maintenance task accurately for compliance.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance operational efficiency.
• Monitor the performance of Dinkeys and suggest improvements.
• Implement safety protocols while performing repairs.
• Assist in the training of new mechanics and support staff.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss operational challenges and successes.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
• Trade certificate in Heavy Equipment Maintenance preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in similar roles.

Technical Skills

• Diagnostic tool proficiency
• Welding and fabrication skills

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure

Languages

• English: Fluent
