As an Olericulturist, you will manage the cultivation of vegetable crops while working closely with farm workers and specialists. The position is vital for improving yield and maintaining quality in a commercial setting.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement irrigation systems.
• Conduct research to improve farming practices.
• Maintain health and safety standards in daily operations.
• Utilize farming software to manage crop data efficiently.
• Work alongside external stakeholders like suppliers to streamline production.
• Facilitate training seminars for up-and-coming farm workers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or related field
• Basic First Aid certification preferred

Experience

• Experience with vegetable crop cultivation and management

• GPS and mapping tools

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
