We are seeking a dedicated Plant Propagator to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will be responsible for propagating a wide variety of plants using various techniques including cuttings, grafting, and tissue culture. You will play a crucial role in maintaining propagation facilities and monitoring plant health.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and propagate different species of plants effectively.
• Conduct regular assessments of plant health and growth conditions.
• Utilize greenhouse management software for monitoring.
• Coordinate with team members to implement production plans.
• Ensure proper handling of plants during shipping and distribution.
• Participate in community outreach and education regarding horticultural practices.
• Keep records of plant growth, production, and sales trends.
• Research current trends and innovations in plant propagation.
• Provide feedback on the efficiency of propagation methods used.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Horticulture or Botany is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in plant propagation

Technical Skills

• Tissue culture techniques

Certifications

Languages
