Job Description

We are in search of a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The role will involve overseeing client accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Ideal candidates should have a solid understanding of accounting principles and a passion for problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Support the preparation of tax returns in compliance with tax regulations.
• Produce timely financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Master's degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus

Experience

• 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience

• Pastel Accounting
• QuickBooks

Certifications

• SAGE Certified
• CIMA Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
