Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for numbers? We are looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join our Durban office. This position involves analyzing financial data and trends to inform strategic business decisions. You will contribute to our efforts in risk assessment and management, driving improvements in our analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze historical data and project future trends to guide business decisions.
• Support the development of risk management strategies and reports.
• Provide technical expertise on actuarial software and methodologies.
• Monitor and evaluate the effect of external factors on financial outcomes.
• Participate in designing new insurance products and assessing their viability.
• Document processes and assist in training junior analysts as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
• Postgraduate studies or certification by a professional body (e.g., ASSA) is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in actuarial analysis or related field
