Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled Transportation Engineer to join our Johannesburg team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing various transportation systems within urban environments, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and design transportation projects from conception through completion.
• Perform data analysis to inform planning and design decisions.
• Prepare technical documentation including specifications and reports.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to address complex transportation issues.
• Implement strategies for reducing congestion and improving efficiency.
• Contribute to the development of traffic management plans.
• Engage with stakeholders including city officials and the public.
• Evaluate construction methods and materials for sustainability.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff.
• Utilize GIS and modeling software to enhance project design.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Master's degree in a related field is desirable

Experience

• 6+ years of experience in transportation projects
