Job Description

As a Social and Human Service Assistant, you will play an integral role in the daily lives of residents, providing essential support with daily living activities, medication management, and emotional companionship. Your compassion and dedication will help create a nurturing environment for those in need.

Responsibilities

  • Help residents with daily routines, promoting independence wherever possible.
  • Implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
  • Manage medication schedules effectively and accurately.
  • Engage residents in activities that promote socialization and mental health.
  • Regularly check and maintain the cleanliness of shared spaces.
  • Document changes and progress in residents' care effectively.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new care assistants.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss resident care strategies.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Personal Care Aide or similar is advantageous
Experience
  • 1+ years experience in social and human services
