Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Durban. You will be instrumental in advocating for clients and connecting them with valuable resources, empowering them to navigate life's hardships with dignity and respect.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client needs assessments and develop treatment strategies.
• Offer supportive counseling to clients facing social and emotional challenges.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
• Advocate for clients' rights and access to services.
• Document client progress and maintain updated records.
• Engage in community outreach initiatives for resource awareness.
• Facilitate educational workshops targeting community needs.
• Participate in case conferences and team meetings.
• Educate clients about available support services.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and adjust as necessary.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) preferred

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in social work or a related field
