Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Durban. As a key member of our pharmacy, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe and effective medication use. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with their medication-related inquiries.
• Review and interpret prescription orders accurately.
• Participate in health promotion and disease prevention initiatives.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of medications.
• Support the pharmacy manager in various operational tasks.
• Conduct medication therapy management for chronic disease patients.
• Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers.
• Engage in continuing education and professional development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) or equivalent

Experience

• Registered Pharmacist with 2+ years of experience in a community pharmacy setting

• Clinical knowledge

Certifications

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
