Mining Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining processes and engineering principles, particularly in underground mining operations. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing effective mining practices that ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of mining engineering on various projects.
• Monitor daily operations and ensure safety standards are met.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and interns.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely acquisition of materials and equipment.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and address concerns effectively.
• Incorporate feedback from site personnel to enhance future projects.
• Conduct feasibility studies for new mining sites and initiatives.
• Assist in developing long-term strategic plans for resource extraction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
• Relevant certifications are a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of mining engineering experience preferred
