Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

We need a results-driven Warehouse Supervisor in Cape Town who can oversee the daily operations of our warehouse, manage staff, and implement best practices in logistics. If you have a knack for problem-solving and a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Supervise all warehouse activities and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Direct and coordinate warehouse operations, managing staff effectively.
• Manage inventory and conduct audits to optimize stock management.
• Train new hires and provide continuous development for warehouse staff.
• Collaborate with transportation teams for efficient product delivery.
• Drive improvements in warehouse processes and workflows.
• Maintain records of inventory levels, shipments, and deliveries.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse.
• Report on warehouse performance metrics and KPIs.
• Identify and mitigate any operational risks and challenges.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business Management is advantageous

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse setting

Technical Skills

• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)

Soft Skills

• Teamwork
• Adaptability

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Lean Warehousing principles: Experience implementing Lean principles to improve efficiency.
• Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems: Experience using ERP software for warehouse management.
