Job Description

We are on the lookout for a passionate Geoscientist to join our dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will contribute to various geological projects, focusing on research, analysis, and assessments in line with environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead geological mapping and sampling initiatives.
• Evaluate geological risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Conduct environmental impact assessments for projects.
• Maintain geological databases and documentation.
• Support compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
• Mentor junior geoscientists and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Geosciences or a similar discipline
• Master's degree or equivalent is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of practical field experience

• Geotechnical Engineering

Certifications

• Geological Society of South Africa Membership

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
