Extruding Machine Setter

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Extruding Machine Setter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating extruding machines to produce plastic or metal products according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate extruding equipment.
• Monitor production lines for operational efficiency.
• Perform quality checks on products.
• Execute preventive maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with the quality control team for compliance.
• Document machine performance and maintenance records.
• Assist in training personnel on machine handling.
• Participate in production efficiency projects.
• Resolve production issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain production area cleanliness and organization.

Requirements

Education

• National Certificate in Plastics Processing or relevant qualification
• Trade certificate as an Extrusion Machine Setter (advantageous)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Extruding Machine Setter

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Prior experience in the plastics or metal processing industry: Experience working with extrusion processes and machinery.
• Advanced knowledge of extrusion techniques and materials: In-depth knowledge of different materials used in extrusion.
• Experience with troubleshooting and repairing extruding machines: Hands-on experience in maintaining and fixing machines.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing environment: Familiar with workplace health and safety requirements and practices.
• Experience in training and mentoring junior staff: Ability to guide and support less experienced team members.
