Air Brake Worker

Job Description

As an Air Brake Worker, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining air brake systems on various types of vehicles. This role requires hands-on experience and a keen attention to detail to ensure safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of vehicle brake systems.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving brake-related issues.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel for effective operations.
• Provide support for additional maintenance tasks as required.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Additional trade certifications preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with air brake systems

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of South African road safety regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals

Soft Skills

• Communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Additional trade certifications: Preferable for enhancing skillset in vehicle maintenance.
