Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems, contributing to innovative solutions that meet client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and test prototypes for new mechanical systems.
• Liaise with clients to understand their project needs and requirements.
• Utilize CAD software for design purposes.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of mechanical systems.
• Assist in conducting root cause analysis for engineering problems.
• Integrate safety considerations into designs.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certification from the South African Institution of Mechanical Engineering

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in renewable energy systems: Knowledge of engineering practices related to renewable energy applications.
• Hands-on experience in prototype development: Practical experience in developing and testing prototypes.
