Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications and determine risk levels.
• Analyze financial and historical data to make informed decisions.
• Prepare and issue new policies based on underwriting guidelines.
• Collaborate with agents and clients to clarify policy details.
• Monitor existing policies and assess for renewals.
• Maintain accurate records of policy documents and underwriting activities.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Participate in training seminars to enhance underwriting knowledge.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification in Insurance is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in insurance underwriting

• Certified Insurance Underwriter (CIU)
