Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-race inspections to ensure vehicle readiness.
• Diagnose issues using advanced diagnostic tools and software.
• Modify race car systems based on performance data and driver feedback.
• Assist in the development of race strategies through technical insights.
• Oversee the setup and teardown of race cars before and after events.
• Promote a culture of safety and efficiency within the workshop.
• Coordinate with external suppliers for parts and equipment.
• Engage in continuous education regarding new automotive technologies.
• Provide support in fabricating and welding custom components.
• Track inventory for tools and spare parts, ensuring availability.

Requirements

Education

• National Certificate in Motor Mechanics or equivalent
• Advanced Diploma in Automotive Engineering (preferred)

Experience

• Minimum experience of 3 years in race car maintenance and repairs is required.
