Pharmacist

Job Description

Join our team in Durban as a Pharmacist where you will play a crucial role in patient care by dispensing medications, advising patients on health-related issues, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. Your expertise will help ensure proper medication usage and safety.

Responsibilities

• Execute the accurate dispensing of all medications, including controlled substances.
• Provide consultancy services to patients regarding health products and services.
• Actively participate in pharmacy healthcare initiatives and community outreach.
• Oversee inventory management ensuring adequate stock levels of medications.
• Maintain pharmacy facilities and enforce cleanliness and health standards.
• Conduct patient consultations to ascertain medication therapy requirements.
• Coordinate prescription refill requests efficiently.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Master's degree in Pharmacy is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in community pharmacy or clinical settings

• SAPC Registered

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in additional South African languages: Ability to communicate effectively in languages such as Zulu or Afrikaans.
