Job Description

We are on the lookout for a compassionate Psychologist to work with individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will play a crucial role in designing treatment plans and delivering therapy in a supportive and welcoming environment in Cape Town.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client needs and provide tailored psychological interventions.
• Facilitate therapy sessions and conduct regular check-ins to assess progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop effective treatment strategies.
• Engage in community outreach to promote mental health awareness and resources.
• Educate clients and families about mental health conditions and treatment options.

Requirements

Education

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant clinical experience

Technical Skills

• Psychological Assessment
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Communication

Certifications

• Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
• CPD accredited courses in mental health

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic

Advantageous

• Experience in child psychology: Knowledge and experience in working with children and adolescents in therapy.
• Familiarity with mindfulness techniques: Ability to incorporate mindfulness and wellness strategies in therapy sessions.
