Job Description

As an Operating Engineer, you'll be key to transporting and maintaining vehicles within our dynamic dealership environment. We're looking for proactive individuals who excel in both driving and equipment operation, ensuring timely and efficient processing.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles to designated locations while following all safety protocols.
• Inspect vehicles for any damage and report issues promptly.
• Ensure accurate delivery logs and records are kept.
• Collaborate with the sales and service teams to facilitate vehicle transfers.
• Assist in vehicle repairs when necessary and applicable.
• Monitor vehicle status and service needs.
• Contribute to a positive team environment through effective communication.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle fleet.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent

Experience

• Minimum of 1-year experience as a driver, preferably in the automotive sector.

Certifications

• Valid South African Driver's License

Languages

Advantageous

• Experience as a Car Runner: Previous experience in a similar driving role, specifically as a Car Runner or Vehicle Transporter.
• Knowledge of Basic Vehicle Repair: Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance checks on vehicles.
