Job Description

We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic Travel Consultant to join our Pretoria team. In this role, you'll be responsible for helping clients plan memorable trips, providing expert advice, and ensuring a smooth travel experience from start to finish.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction throughout the travel planning process.
  • Listen to client needs and provide tailored solutions to enhance their travel experience.
  • Handle travel logistics and provide post-travel support as necessary.
  • Liaise with travel agencies and service providers to negotiate contracts and rates.
  • Prepare travel documentation, including itineraries and travel guides.

Requirements

Education
  • Matric certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or related field is a significant advantage
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in travel consulting with a proven sales track record
Technical Skills
  • Travel management software
  • GDS systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre)
Soft Skills
  • Negotiation
  • Problem-solving
Languages
  • English: Fluent
  • French: Basic

Advantageous

  • Experience in group travel management: Proven experience in managing group travel arrangements.
  • Familiarity with travel regulations: Understanding of local and international travel regulations is beneficial.
